Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having an amazing weekend.
I just received this email and it made me laugh.
So, I thought I would put a smile on your face and I also thought you would be able to relate!
Have an AMAZING Week.
Bye for now!
UNIVERSAL LAWS
1. Law of Mechanical Repair - After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee.
2. Law of Gravity - Any tool, nut, bolt, screw, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.
3. Law of Probability -The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act
4. Law of Random Numbers - If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.
5. Law of the Alibi - If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.
6. Variation Law - If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).
7. Law of the Bath - When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.
8. Law of Close Encounters -The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.
9. Law of the Result - When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.
10. Law of Biomechanics - The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.
11.. Law of the Theater and Hockey Arena - At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle, always arrive last. They are the ones who will leave their seats several times to go for food, beer, or the toilet and who leave early before the end of the performance or the game is over. The folks in the aisle seats come early, never move once, have long gangly legs or big bellies, and stay to the bitter end of the performance. The aisle people also are very surly folk.
12. The Coffee Law - As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.
13. Murphy's Law of Lockers - If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.
14. Law of Physical Surfaces - The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor, are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet or rug.
15. Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.
16. Brown's Law of Physical Appearance - If the clothes fit, they're ugly.
17. Oliver's Law of Public Speaking - A closed mouth gathers no feet.
18. Wilson's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy - As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.
19. Doctors' Law - If you don't feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you'll feel better. But don't make an appointment, and you'll stay sick.

When Enough is All You Need
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are having a productive day. I am!!!
I received this today (I decided to have a quick break and cheek my emails. I will be off once I have sent you this - promise!) and HAD TO SHARE IT!
'Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together
at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security
gate, they hugged, and the mother said,'I love you, and I pray you enough.'
The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough.Your love is all I ever needed. I pray you enough, too, Mom.'
They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window
where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry.
I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you
ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'
Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever
good-bye?'
'Well...I'm not as young as I once was, she lives so far away & has her own busy life. I have some challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip back will be
for my funeral,' she said.
'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I pray you enough.' May I ask what that means?'
She began to smile. 'That's a prayer that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone.' She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more. 'When
we said, 'I pray you enough,' we wanted the other person to have a life filled with
just enough good things to sustain them.'
Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.
I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the
day may appear.
I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.
Then, she began to cry, and walked away.
They say, it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them, but an entire life to forget them.'
I PRAY YOU ENOUGH courage to start or continue on your Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom.
I PRAY YOU ENOUGH discomfort to make the start or the continuation of your Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom a MUST!!!
I PRAY YOU ENOUGH!!!!
Have an amazing day!

How badly do you want it?
Hi Everyone,
I hope you are enjoying your Easter.
My parents brought me up to believe that if you want something badly enough, that you can see it, taste it, feel it, smell it, it would be yours! This was an extremely powerful belief and growing up, I thought everyone knew that! But as I got older, I realised, that my parents had blessed me and my siblings with this powerful belief!
I came across this today and wanted to share it with you.

Testimonial from Denise Wakeman
Hi Everyone,
How is your Easter break panning out?
I just thought I would share a testimonial for the book with you!
“Georgina Terry has written a book that easily shifts between passion and pragmatism. Terry takes us on a journey akin to training for a marathon, demonstrating that like a 26.2 mile race, you need head, heart and stamina to get to the finish line. I like the pragmatic approach of focusing on what the would-be entrepreneur needs to consider before starting a business. Terry's stories, well-placed quotes and exercises help demonstrate appropriate techniques as well as motivate action. Clearly Georgina Terry has a passion for her subject and the people she aims to train for The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom. A must-read for anyone who dreams of owning and operating their own business...before they run their first mile.”

CONCEIVE, BELIEVE and ACHIEVE!
Hi Everyone,
Based on concept in Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill - Through my power to conceive and believe, I was able to achieve!
When studying for my accountancy exams back in 1992, the Virgin group of companies were used as an exemplar in the marketing strategies course. By learning more and more about the group of companies, I decided that I would meet Sir Richard Branson (not sure if he was a Sir back then). Yes DECIDED! I did nor know how or when. I just knew in my heart and soul that I would!
In my book The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom, I share with you, how this thought that was conceived and believed was ACHIEVED!
What have you been able to conceive, believe and achieve?

I Stumbled.....but I am up again and moving!
Hi Everyone,
It has been 18 days since I received the proof of my book and guess what?
I have not been focused on getting the final proof reading completed. I was going to do the final proof reading myself but then decided that it needed new eyes!
But I have been very slow in finding the resource to help me do this!
Luckily, I have shared the journey of my first book 'The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom' with several of you and therefore I have recently started getting questions like...
'Gina, where is your book?'
'When is the book launch?'
'Where can I get a copy?'
'When will the book be published?'
At first I started to feel embarrassed, as I had not achieved my stated publishing date, but then I looked at the situation differently (my perspective changed!). Rather than feel embarrassed, I am glad people are asking me - it has helped me refocus and gain more energy to reach the final line! My supporters are cheering me on! What a lovely sound!
So, I should have confirmed who will do the final proof reading for me by today and then I will get in contact with the book designer to make the necessary changes, then send the changes to the publishing company and then there will be only about 0.2 miles ( the last strength of the marathon) to complete and then my 'Amazing Race' to publishing my first book will have been achieved!
I feeling really energized again! It feels GREAT!!!
So, what finish line are you be running towards? What can you do to re-energise yourself? Do you need to visualize yourself crossing the line? Do you need to help from your supporters? Do you need to plan you route to the finish line and then just take a step a day?
You are amazing and you can complete your own Amazing Race! Run, walk, crawl, it does not matter, just keep moving! We can stumble and even fall! That is ok. If this happens dust yourself off and then keep moving! That's what I did!

Do you know who you are?
Hi Everyone,
I just read this and wanted to share it with you....
"One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy in them, because I know who I am." President Obama.

Amazing Opportunities in 2010 - Sir Richard Branson
Hi Everyone,
I am leaving for a business trip to Ghana tomorrow. Several meetings have been arranged. I am also attending the 2010 Opportunities Conference http://www.modernghana.com/news2/261204/1/opportunities-2010-conference-the-big-conversation.html where Sir Richard Branson will be speaking! Sir Richard is one of my entrepreneurial role models!
It is the intention of our team going to Ghana, that we meet and talk to Sir Richard, in order to set up a further meeting with him to discuss some amazing business opportunities. So, I am really excited!
I met Sir Richard in 2006 and we had a quick chat. Meeting him was a great moment in my life, not just having the conversation with him, but it also was a real demonstration of what the power of the mind, passion, vision and unwavering belief can achieve!
The details of my journey to meeting and talking with Sir Richard is included in The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom.
For those of you who have attended events where I have presented, you will know the story. For those of you who have not....get the book when it comes out! It is a great story!
Who are your role models? What do you admire about them? How are you using their journeys experiences to help you on yours?

Let's All be Coffee
Hi Everyone,
How are you? I am currently working on a business proposal for a NGO to help them develop an operational plan. During my break, I read this and wanted to share it with you.
Carrots, Eggs, and Coffee
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee...You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up, She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose..
Her mother took her to the kitchen.. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil.
In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans . She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see."
"Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft.. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.
Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee.
The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however.. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond?
Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?"
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
What do you need to let go of to move yourself and your business forward? What do you have to change perspective, procrastination, environment in order for you to live a 'coffee' filled life?
What one small step can you take to move towards your Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom?

Take the Shot!
Hi Everyone,
How are you?
I just read this on Joesph McClendon's Facebook page and wanted to share it with you!
'Jay Calaghan says..."People don't fail because they aim to high and miss. They fail because they aim to low and hit." Even when you shoot for the stars, the worst that usually happens is you land in the trees. Having said all of that most people don't take the shot. Ready aim. ready aim, ready aim... TAKE THE FREAKIN SHOT'
What are you doing to take the SHOT?

Opportunities
Hi Everyone,
I really enjoy listening to the BBC World Service on the radio while I driving around town, they have some really interesting interviews. (Growing up, I thought the BBC was boring... funny how perspective change!)
Last week there was a great interview with an American Billionaire called David Murdock, owner of Dole Foods. He has a really interesting story, I thought you might like to hear it.

I just read this and thought you would like it.
Tap into your self confidence (yes it is inside you - so stop looking outside of yourself)!

Are you Ready and Available?
Hi Everyone,
I hope you having or had an amazing weekend!
Today, I went to church for the christening of a dear friend's baby girl.
I must admit, I have not been to church in a while. I remember as a kid, I would not really pay attention to the sermon, but as an adult, when I do go to church, I make a point of really listening and there are some great messages!
Today the priest spoke about 'being ready and available' to do God's work. He said that once we open ourselves up and 'are ready and available' God's grace will help us on that journey. We will acquire what we need, when we need it.
I thought about this in the context of getting ready to start a business. Once you put aside our fear, tap into who you are, connect to your passion, you will be ready and available you we will equipped with what you need to succeed.
The priest when on to say, that when we are ready and available, all we need to say to get started is 'I am Here. The Lord sent me' I thought this was very powerful.
If you have a business idea, that you have been carrying around for a long time, what do you need to do, have in place to be READY and AVAILABLE and have the courage to say ' I AM HERE. THE LORD SENT ME?
I had written down at the beginning of this year during a seminar that I would write a book some day, but I did not really give it much thought. But it seems that I was READY and AVAILABLE, even before I knew I was. When I decided to write The Amazing Race to Entrepreneurial Freedom, it seemed like the most natural thing to do! It feel easy, I accepted the fact that I was ready and available, rather than questioning if I should or got!
Sooooooooooooooooo are you ready and available, if yes, what will you start? Don't fight the feeling, you know the time is now, for your AMAZING RACE TO ENTREPRENEURIAL FREEDOM!
